MEET THE ARTIST

Ariana Renee was born in South Texas near Corpus Christi where she grew up and was inspired by art itself at just the age of five when her dream was to own a horse of her very own. Ariana loved horses so much that when she couldn’t own one, she would draw them herself. Ariana would go to libraries all by herself at the age of 8 through 12 just to look at photos of horses and use them as reference for her own drawings.

At the age of 13, Ariana and her family moved to Oklahoma where she would continue to draw horses and the more she got better, the more she wanted to take her art to the next level and competed in state fairs and even state colleges throughout high school.

By the time Ariana graduated, she wanted to explore a different medium rather than pencil and explore a different subject rather than horses and other animals. Ariana then begin to learn how to oil paint by herself. She began to learn to draw portraits of people who inspired her from a young age. Many of these portraits include familiar names such as David Bowie and River Phoenix.

Through learning from books and teaching herself how to paint in oils and make her own canvases, Ariana perfected her skills in oil painting and strives to capture the beauty in color and the story of the portraits she paints, whether that be herself or the musicians or films she admires. Ariana invites observers to dive into the brushstrokes of color and story and hopes to inspire as well as admire the true beauty of music, film and animals alike.
